Estate owned by “DreamWorks” CEO Jeffrey Katzenberg up for sale

Hamburg, 06 January 2016. Jeffrey Katzenberg is selling his chalet in Park City, some 50 kilometres east of Salt Lake City in the US state of Utah. “The property is set amidst Utah’s natural scenery. Its architectural design blends in harmoniously with the surroundings,” said Paul Benson, Managing Partner of Engel & Völkers in Park City. The estate spans approx. 409,500 ft2 (approx. 38,000 m2) across two private lots. The three-level interior of the chalet totals approx. 14,100 ft2 (approx. 1,300 m2) in size. The asking price for the property is 15.5 million US dollars (approx. 14.1 million euros).

Jeffrey Katzenberg’s love of nature drew him to Park City The estate is located in the sought-after ski resort known as “Deer Valley”, which boasts some of the finest slopes in North America. Mr. Katzenberg was heavily involved with the planning and construction of the chalet some twenty years ago. Each room in the property has large windows maximising the views of the mountains and beautiful scenery of Utah’s winter sports region. The impressive surroundings are reflected inside this home too. The fabrics, carpets and plaids in particular feature typical web patterns and the traditional colours of Utah’s indigenous tribes. The wooden floors, ceilings and walls give the atmosphere within a warm, rustic charm. The property has seven bedrooms and ten bathrooms, as well as an open plan living room with a large double-height fireplace. Jeffrey Katzenberg is one of the most successful movie producers in Hollywood. As the former Head of Disney Animation back in 1994, he founded the “DreamWorks” film studio together with Steven Spielberg and David Geffen. Jeffrey Katzenberg’s best-loved productions include “Shrek”, “Madagascar” and “Over the Hedge”. The chalet also boasts a billiard room and an indoor pool with a private spa.
